ASL Midsummer Night's Dream

12th Ave Arts
1620 12th Ave. Seattle

Oregon Shakespeare Festival favorite Howie Seago directs the Sound Theatre Company in ASL Midsummer Night's Dream -- a bilingual production of A Midsummer Night's Dream in both spoken English and American Sign Language. Quite possibly Shakespeare's most beloved romantic comedy, A Midsummer Night's Dream has everything you'd expect in a modern-day rom-com -- lover triangles, mistaken identities, a feel-good wedding finale -- all turned up to 11, thanks to some playful magic from Puck and some mischievous woodland sprites. The Bard put some of his most dazzling dramatic poetry at the service of this teasing, glittering, hilarious and amazingly inventive play, whose seriousness is only fleetingly glimpsed beneath its dreamlike surface. Come to 12th Ave Arts in Seattle for this inclusive production that's a delight for all audiences.
