Singing swindlers, high livin' on the French Riviera, a cockeyed competition and a score by the composer of The Full Monty make Dirty Rotten Scoundrels a dynamite musical adaptation of the popular 1988 film. While the suave Lawrence Jameson charms wealthy women out of thousands, Freddy Benson uses pity to get free meals from the tenderhearted. In a battle for territory, the two agree to a contest: The first to wheedle $50,000 out of a beautiful heiress wins, and the entire Riviera is his and his alone.
