Irounbound
The Bathhouse Theater
7312 W Green Lake Dr N. Seattle
The heartbreaking and humorous drama Irounbound explores the life of Darja, a hardworking Polish immigrant, as she waits for her late night bus after a long factory shift in a run-down New Jersey town. Darja's story unfolds as she waits at the bus stop, flashing through more than 20 years and three relationships, one of which resulted in her troubled son Alex. Now she's forced to decide just how much of her fiercely earned pride and self-respect she's willing to sacrifice for her offspring. This gritty and darkly funny portrait of a woman for whom love is a luxury, penned by prize-winner Martyna Majok, comes to the Bathhouse Theater in Seattle, after being chosen as a New York Times Critic's Pick for its East Coast run.
