Jewels
McCaw Hall
321 Mercer Street Seattle
Pacific Northwest Ballet performs George Balanchine's glittering masterpiece, Jewels, a full-length, three-act plotless ballet that uses the music of three very different composers: Faure, Stravinsky and Tschaikovsky. Balanchine was inspired by jewelry designer Claude Arpels, and chose music revealing the essence of each jewel--emeralds, rubies and diamonds. Each section of the ballet, playing at McCaw Hall in Seattle, is distinct in both music and mood.
