Last of the Boys
Seattle Repertory Theatre
155 Mercer Street Seattle
A Vietnam vet struggles to comes to terms with his troubled memories in this fiercely funny play by longtime Seattle playwright Steven Dietz (Lonely Planet, Becky's New Car). Jeeter arrives in the Great Central Valley to the rusted-out trailer of his buddy Ben, a fellow Vietnam veteran, who's gone totally off the grid. Their beer drinking is interrupted by the arrival of Jeeter's new girlfriend, her volatile mother and ghosts from their shared past. Talkin' Broadway says, "Last of the Boys is to the Vietnam war what Angels In America was to the AIDS crisis." See this Seattle Rep production at the Bagley Wright Theatre.
