Lungs
12th Ave Arts
1620 12th Ave. Seattle
The world is getting hotter, seas are rising and one couple is thinking of having a baby. Both intimate and epic, Duncan Macmillan's Lungs follows the lifespan of one couple's conversation - from its first question to its final answer - as they consider what it truly means to bring one more person into the world. Both funny and searing, theatrical and personal, Lungs asks us to examine the responsibilities we have to each other, ourselves, and our environment. Really Really Theatre Group is excited to share this exhilarating piece with Seattle audiences, starting our own conversations about population growth and the global climate crisis. Lungs will be directed by Henry Nettleton and will feature Seattle-based performers Erika Fontana and Arjun Pande. Founded in 2016 by Danielle Cohn, Trevor Griffin, and Henry Nettleton, Really Really Theatre Group amplifies the voices and visions of artists wrestling with contemporary cultural questions, producing and developing work in both New York City and Seattle, Washington.
