You Can't Take It With You
Seattle Center
305 Harrison Street Seattle
Inclusive casting and the "chosen family" will be the centerpiece of this classic 1930s madcap comedy about two clashing New York families. When a member of the conservative Kirby family falls in love with a girl from the eccentric Vanderhof household, the two families come together to celebrate the couple's engagement and discover their shocking differences over a wildly uncomfortable dinner discussion. Written by masters of comedy George S. Kaufman and Moss Hart, this fast-paced, witty classic has been entertaining audiences for more than 70 years. Tee Dennard, a founding member of Seattle's Group Theatre, and Shermona Mitchell lead this cast as grandpa and his novelist daughter, Penny Sycamore, at Seattle's Center Theatre.
